One thing that has struck me as odd while searching through Who sites on the net is there is a lack of information regarding the studio sessions of the Who's career. It seems also that no book has really tackled this matter either and a lot of information has been lost over time.Has any site or anyone on the net attempted to lay down even the most basic information and try and categorize the recording sessions or is this still a dark area waiting to be tackled by someone?.

Hi Minty
I'm a new member today after seeing you request for recording info.
try www.ibcstudio.co.uk this site will have lots of info on The Who and many others that recorded at this studio in the 60s.
Can this web site be added so that any other members can check it out.
Regards havealife

I have been told there was a site on Geocities called The Who Recording Chronology but as Geocities has shut down the site has vanished.Be interesting to see if the site starts up on a new host.

Hi Minty
Glad you found the IBC link useful, I was shown around the studios by a friend of the family that work there back in 67 and was given some acetate recordings, some Bee Gees and a A side of The Who Sell Out, at the time I did not realise what I was given, still have them today, although I was born in Shepherds Bush and a teenager in the 60s, I was to young at the time The Who was doing the local clubs to get in, did see them around 1964 coming out of a shop in Turnham Green, Acton. The album Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy brings back those great days of the 60s.
