Greetings from the SRM.
I am new to this site, but I noticed something: all of the links in the margin to the left are live, except for the one that says Chat Room.
1) Is there one?
2) And if so, does it work?

I've been planning to bring a chat room online - but so far I've never found enough members online at the same time to make it useful. Maybe I'll bring it online as a test to see if there is enough interest, otherwise I'll just remove the item from the menu.
Just curious - if I do bring a chat room - how many of you would be interested in chatting with fellow members rather than just using these forums?

I would definitely be interested in using the chat room. I prefer it to just posting comments on the forums. Plus it would be nice to see if I can find anyone I used to chat with from the old chat room years ago.

I would definitely be interested in a chatting room, more chance for random tangents and the like than with forums.

I guess there are a few who would like to bring back a chat room, and I've been investigating this possibility. The first problem I see is that we would need to have more than one person logged in and wanting to chat at the same time.
I have been trying a few different chat packages and am just about ready and willing to test one.
My question is: when can we get more than one person online and ready?

I'm still looking for people to test some chat software with. The problem as I see it is that there is rarely a time when there is more than one user logged in, and unfortunately I'm not willing to make it "public" as it will attract a lot of spammers/flamers.
So...if you are interested in trying to chat here at thewho.net, lets see if we can schedule a few people at a particular time/date, and get some testing done to see if this software can handle the load!
Scott
