Pete Townshend: Wild Action

    Pete Townshend: Wild Action

    Label / Index #
    Chapter One

    Venue:
The Roundhouse Theatre, London, UK, April 14, 1974
    Recording: Audience
Comments: Compare with the solo PT Pete Townshend: Pure 'n' Easy (LP)
    (Penguin Records Project Egg Three)
. This is a really neat show. PT plays a
tape from his taperecorder to explain to the audience the concept of a "demo".
Some of the songs are also available on the vinyl Pete Townshend: Obscure &
    Oblique
    (LP) (PT ZST),
though this is the longer of the two. This recording is some-
what fuzzy / distorted at the beginning but does get better as it goes on but still
leaves a bit to be desired in the sound department. I'd say this one is primarily for
hard-core Who fans. I recently discovered a recording of the entire show which is
somewhat better sounding and contains 20 tracks instead of the 18 listed here.
