The Lifehouse play was developed for radio by BBC Radio Drama in collaboration with Eel Pie.
The first broadcast worldwide took place on 5 December 1999 exclusively on BBC RADIO 3,
 and the recorded version is published by BBC Worldwide and Eel Pie.

The play was directed and produced for the BBC by Kate Rowland, with the following cast:
