“THE WHO 1975 TOUR”
- 3/10/75, New Bingley Hall, County Showground, Stafford (2C)
- Good-very good audio, a bunch of mistakes, a very powerful performance and songs from
almost every album from My Generation to Who By Numbers make this one of the best shows
in my collection. Roger screws up Substitute, then Pete does too; the end of I Can’t Explain is
slightly screwed; as unbelievable as it sounds, John comes in too soon in Baba O'Riley; they
are even lost at the end of Heaven and Hell, which ends rather abruptly; the worst is during The
Punk Meets the Godfather-Pete plays off key, stops the song in the middle!!!, yells at someone,
then starts again with the wrong words; he later apologizes to the crowd; Roger intros John,
saying, “We foolishly call him ‘The Quiet One’”. Eyesight To the Blind done a la Clapton.
